Business Brokers in Tennessee

tennessee-business-brokersWhen preparing to sell a business it is important to work alongside an experienced professional to insure the process is properly managed If you considering the purchase of a business in Tennessee you should consider retaining a business broker to assist and represent you in validating the value of the company as well as assisting in financing and negotiations. As a seller, preparing the confidential business review (CBR) package, accurately valuing the business and effectively marketing the business is critical to minimizing the time required to identify a qualified buyer and maximizing the transaction value. Professional business brokers understand the complexities of operating a business in addition to what is required to sell a privately held entity. Attempting to continue operating your successful company while simultaneously attempting to prepare for market, advertise, pre-qualify buyers, assist with financing, terms and negotiations – not to mention maintaining confidentiality creates frustration and in the end typically costs more in time and transaction value than retaining a professional. In the end working with a credentialed professional saves the business owner time and money.

At ENLIGN, all of our brokers are certified by the IBBA, ABBA and/or M&A Source. Additionally, each broker has owned their own business, just like you and lives and works within each of the communities we serve.

About the State of Tennessee

Known as “The great volunteer state,” Tennessee is ranked 17th in the United States with a population of just over six million people. The state is typically divided up into three separate sections: East, Middle and West. East Tennessee is characterized by the Blue Ridge Mountains which are subdivided into the Great Smoky Mountains, the Bald Mountains, the Unicoi Mountains, the Unaka Mountains and Roan Highlands, and the Iron Mountains. This area of Tennessee is also characterized by fertile valleys, the western most one being known as the Great Valley in which the cities of Knoxville and Chattanooga are housed. Middle Tennessee is characterized by flat-topped mountains which are separated by sharp valleys. It is in this area where the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway is located, not to mention some of the last remaining large American Chestnut trees. West Tennessee is known for the Gulf Coastal Plain, which includes the Mississippi embankment. The easternmost section of this area consists of hilly land that runs along the western bank of the Tennessee River. Today, Tennessee is known for its textile industry as well as production of beef and cotton.
